This is a rare custom build available for adoption from Bishop+Rook. The vehicle started off as a bespoke commission from a customer in Texas, but due to some Covid-19 economic issues we allowed him the opportunity to cancel his build.

Note:  The Defender is in the final restoration phase at our Minneapolis Bishop+Rook workshop and has recently been adopted.

This is a rare custom build available for adoption from Bishop+Rook.  The vehicle started off as a bespoke commission from a customer in Texas, but due to some Covid-19 economic issues we allowed him the opportunity to cancel his build.  We’re offering it up at a below market rate as a means to return his deposit and put this amazing vehicle in the hands of new owners.  Comparable bespoke vehicles in this restoration condition typically go for $100k and above.

We’ve included photos of the original donor vehicle so you can see the Bishop+Rook process in action.  We are in the process of organizing the entire photo and video catalog of this restoration.  We spent about 1000 hours on the restoration/preservation of Chief and are excited to offer him up for adoption.

This donor vehicle started off as a UK Solihull built Land Rover Defender 110.  Built in November 1991 as a 1992 year model for the Spanish market.  This Defender served as the Fire Chief’s vehicle in a small Spanish village for most of it’s life. When we took it into the shop we performed a complete disassembly, including rebuilding nearly every mechanical component on the vehicle and completing a panel-off paint job in beautiful Aintree Green.

As of January 2021 we are finishing some final details on the build, which means there is an opportunity for the new owners to add some last minute customization to the build.
