Heritage Class Restoration
1992 Land Rover Defender 110 - Bahama Gold Soft-Top
The Base Restoration
This Defender restoration started off with a very unique donor – one that was used as a taxi and a school bus in the northern mountains of Spain. What better way to pay tribute to the original vehicle than to select yellow/gold as the final build color.
A Timeless Classic
We stripped the donor vehicle down to a bare chassis, where we began the process of giving a second life to this unique Defender. Every nut and bolt were removed, every bracket refreshed, and a beautiful Bahama Gold paint job made the final product unique among even the most unique Defenders.
Heritage + Style
The final finishing touches on this build included converting it to a 5-door soft-top – making it the ideal Defender to cruise through the mountains or down to the beach. Her new home will have both of these lovely options.
A Mountain Rescue Project
The original donor Defender was used actively as a taxi to carry passengers between various mountain towns in northern Spain. It was also used as a school bus for children. When we took on this project, we wanted to preserve this important story as part of our final design.
An Iconic Land Rover Defender
The “Bahama Gold” project turns heads no matter where we drive her. It’s been an incredibly fun project that allowed us to stretch beyond our traditional Heritage builds into something that was a bit more bold – but still inspired by the heritage of the Land Rover brand.
