1987 Land Rover110 - 2.5L Petrol - Original
The Base Restoration
This Land Rover 110 was built in the UK but then shipped to Nigeria, where the owners used her to explore Africa before overlanding back home five years later. We found her and immediately fell in love.
A Timeless Classic
Toto is a factory LHD Land Rover (Pre-Defender) fitted with a 2.5L Petrol. Originally, we thought it might be a great candidate for an LS3 engine swap project we have planned as he hasn’t driven many of the early 2.5L Petrol Land Rovers lately. While driving it back to Salisbury, England, we found it to be a very pleasant drive – cruising down the motorways at 65-70 MPH without any issues.
Heritage + Style
We have been documenting our Preservation Series process with Toto – giving you a first-hand behind-the-scenes look at what goes into saving these vintage Land Rovers. When we come across a candidate like Toto – with a rich history of adventure – we can’t help but follow our natural instinct to try and preserve as much of her originality as possible.
A Unique Opportunity
A rare opportunity to adopt a Land Rover from Bishop+Rook that has gone through our Preservation Series process and Mechanical Certification. This 1987 Land Rover 110 offers prospective caretakers the chance to drive an amazing piece of history that will provide generations of future adventures. We have spent countless hours refreshing this Land Rover – ensuring cosmetic originality and mechanical reliability. Contact us via the form below for more details or to discuss the adoption process.

The Origin of Project Toto
As we acquired the Land Rover through a secretive process of using a broker on behalf of the family who originally owned Toto, we didn’t originally know the whole story. Driven by our curiosity, we began our search for the true provenance of the vehicle. We were not disappointed.
